Youth And Cultural Development Foundation (YCDF)

Established in 2013 by youth leaders and social entrepreneurs, the Youth and Cultural Development Foundation (YCDF) is an independent, non-partisan, non-profit, non-governmental organization in Ethiopia. YCDF is dedicated to empowering young people across the country through educational access, economic inclusion, health and well-being initiatives, civic engagement, and cultural preservation.

Mission, Vision & Purpose

• Mission: To work with youth by assisting them to gain social, entrepreneurial, and developmental skills through training, sharing, and exchange programs, and to build community engagement capacity through outreaches and youth initiative schemes.
• Vision: A future where Ethiopian youth are empowered as innovative leaders and stewards of cultural heritage—driving sustainable development in a peaceful, prosperous, and inclusive society.
• Purpose: To serve as a trusted, youth-serving organization that empowers young people, promotes their personal and social growth, fosters active citizenship, encourages cultural preservation, and advocates for their rights.
