Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Forum (ECSF)

The Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Forum (ECSF) is a nonpartisan, independent, inclusive and voluntary national platform established in May 2013 in view of solving the common concerns and challenges of the Civil Societies Organizations (CSOs) in Ethiopia. It was re-registered by the ACSO with Reg. No 4414 in 2019. Ethiopian Civil Society Organization Forum (ECSF) - is a network of network that embraces more than 54 consortiums in the country, which comprise more than 1,500 members under the 54 consortia. The Forum has peculiar experience in bringing several networks and engages them for the common national agendas. For instance the forum able to influence the government to revised the CSOs Law, centrally facilitate for input gathering of the new CSOs formulation, and familiarization the new law to the public at national level. The Forum also able to play a central role in the establishment of the Ethiopian CSOs’ Council and still serving as Secretariat of the same. Moreover, the forum has reach experience in formation of CSOs coalition and design a national project and serving as lead applicant and successfully implement.
