Quieren ayudar a superar las diferencias en los países en desarrollo con los países desarrollados, mejorando las infraestructuras de agua y salud y acercando a los países desarrollados a esta causa.
Para conseguir estos propósitos Amigos de Silva se basa en el principio de desarrollar un mundo más solidario en el que casa uno sea más responsable y feliz con lo que tiene. Sus acciones se basan en el desarrollo de proyectos de cooperación para mejorar las infraestructuras de agua y de salud de los países en vías de desarrollo y en acciones de sensibilización en lo países desarrollados.

The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works for better lives through livestock in developing countries. ILRI is co-hosted by Kenya and Ethiopia, has 14 offices across Asia and Africa, employs some 700 staff and has an annual operating budget of about USD 80 million.
