Amigos de Silva es una ONG que se dedica a los proyectos de cooperación y ayuda humanitaria en el área del agua y la salud.

Quieren ayudar a superar las diferencias en los países en desarrollo con los países desarrollados, mejorando las infraestructuras de agua y salud y acercando a los países desarrollados a esta causa.

Para conseguir estos propósitos Amigos de Silva se basa en el principio de desarrollar un mundo más solidario en el que casa uno sea más responsable y feliz con lo que tiene. Sus acciones se basan en el desarrollo de proyectos de cooperación para mejorar las infraestructuras de agua y de salud de los países en vías de desarrollo y en acciones de sensibilización en lo países desarrollados.

UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) is a specialized agency of the United Nations (UN) that aims to promote world peace and security through international cooperation in education, arts, sciences, and culture. It has 195 member states and nine associate members.

The World Food Programme is an international organization within the United Nations that provides food assistance worldwide. It is the world's largest humanitarian organization and the leading provider of school meals. Founded in 1961, WFP is headquartered in Rome and has offices in 87 countries.

The International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI) works for better lives through livestock in developing countries. ILRI is co-hosted by Kenya and Ethiopia, has 14 offices across Asia and Africa, employs some 700 staff and has an annual operating budget of about USD 80 million.

ILRI is a CGIAR research centre, a global research partnership for a food-secure future. CGIAR science is dedicated to reducing poverty, enhancing food and nutrition security, and improving natural resources and ecosystem services. Its research is carried out by 15 CGIAR centres in close collaboration with hundreds of partners, including national and regional research institutes, civil society organizations, academia, development organizations and the private sector.

Peter Doherty, a former member of the ILRI Board of Trustees and co-winner of the 1996 Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine, serves as ILRI’s patron.

Management Sciences for Health (MSH) is a global nonprofit organization that provides governments, health organizations, and the private sector with the strategies, tools, and management support to effectively and efficiently deliver high-functioning health systems. MSH uses proven approaches developed over 40 years to help leaders, health managers, and communities in developing nations build stronger health systems for greater health impact.

The African Union Commission (AUC) acts as the executive/administrative branch or secretariat of the African Union. It is headed by a chairperson and consists of a number of Commissioners dealing with different areas of policy.

The African Union Headquarters are in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It should be distinguished from the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights, (based in Banjul, Gambia), which is a separate body that reports to the African Union.
