The project is supported by The Stop TB Department TB REACH and implemented in close collaboration with the LSTM. The TB REACH project was scaled up to covers 7.5 million people. Millions of people die from preventable health threats. These deaths don’t just devastate families, they also weaken communities and economies.
Solutions exist but are out of reach for too many people. We collaborate to close the gap between proven, life-saving solutions and the people who need them. Since 2017, we’ve worked with governments and other partners in more than 60 countries to save millions of lives.
We work toward a future where people live longer, healthier lives, communities flourish, and economies thrive. This is an ambitious vision, and it inspires us and our partners to make progress every day.
Resolve to Save Lives was created by Dr. Tom Frieden, former director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Our initial funders include Bloomberg Philanthropies, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Gates Philanthropy Partners, which is funded with support from the Chan Zuckerberg Foundation.

Four years after he was diagnosed with cancer, and knowing he didn’t have much longer to live, Fred and Gabi Hollows decided they needed to find a way to continue his work. They started The Foundation with a group of friends and supporters to keep alive Fred’s dream: that everyone, no matter whether rich or poor, would have the right to high quality and affordable eye care. They promised to continue to fight for the change Fred so badly wanted.
Today we continue Fred’s vision: we see a world in which no person is needlessly blind and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders exercise their right to good health.
