ACS Intern on Data Analysis
The ACS Intern on Data Analysis will support statistical data management, research, data visualization, and analytical reporting. The intern will work with development indicators, statistical databases, and analytical tools while assisting in research and capacity-building activities that support evidence-based policymaking and sustainable development across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
- Profile emerging data sources and assess their suitability for addressing statistical data gaps.
- Compile metadata from national and international statistical sources.
- Support the harmonization and comparability of African development indicators.
- Assist in developing statistical tools that automate analytical processes.
- Recommend modern tools for statistical data visualization.
- Prepare statistical summaries, methodologies, and analytical reports.
- Support statistical data compilation, economic analysis, and data management.
- Assist with research activities that support policy analysis.
- Contribute to the development of dashboards and data management tools.
- Prepare technical documentation and background materials.
- Support capacity-building initiatives and training activities.
- Organize and maintain standardized datasets and statistical records.
Educational Qualifications
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, a graduate degree program (Master's degree or equivalent, or higher); or
- Be enrolled in, or have completed, the final academic year of a first university degree program (Bachelor's degree or equivalent).
Preferred Qualification
- Completion of a Master's degree or enrollment in a PhD program in a development-related field is highly desirable.
