Job Summary

We are seeking a creative Content Executive to join our East Africa team. In this role, you will lead visual storytelling efforts across Rwanda, Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya. You will capture high-impact photography, shoot and edit engaging videos, and craft compelling narratives that highlight community transformation, boost brand awareness, and drive fundraising initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Field Storytelling: Plan and execute field trips across East Africa to collect impact stories, interviews, photo assets, and video footage.
• Multimedia Production: Produce, edit, and optimize engaging digital content (video, photo, copy) using Adobe Creative Suite and Canva.
• Content Strategy & Asset Management: Maintain and organize the regional media library, ensuring ethical storytelling standards and asset accessibility across international teams.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with field teams, digital marketing specialists, and fundraising teams to create targeted content for social media, campaigns, and donor reporting.

Required Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 3+ years in content creation, digital storytelling, videography, and photography (NGO or development sector experience preferred).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop) and Canva.
• Storytelling & Ethics: Strong narrative writing skills with a proven commitment to ethical representation and community-led consent.
• Portfolio: A demonstrated portfolio of published photography, video production, or written impact stories.
