About the Organization

Development Expertise Center (DEC) is a national CSO registered in Ethiopia. The organization has five major programs: Child Well-being and Education Development, Gender and Life Skill Development, Employable Skills Development, Advocacy, and Humanitarian Emergency Programs. DEC actively works in seven National Regional States and one city administration of Ethiopia, namely Amhara, Afar, Oromia, Tigray, Southwest Ethiopia, Gambela, Benishangul Gumuz, and Addis Ababa City Administration.

Job Summary

Implement security measures to protect company assets and Personal, Patrols and maintains the security of the office premises, compound, equipment, vehicles, material resources; etc;

Required No. 1 Addis Ababa Coordination Office

Key Responsibilities

• Open and close the office when the office staff members have left;
• Handles the entrance and exit of visitors (guests) and their vehicles.
• Controls and cares for the property of the office and reports on irregularities.
• Performs any other related duties of a permanent and temporary nature that may be assigned to him/her.
• protect property and tenants from theft, damage, trespassing or accidents
• provide a visible presence that enforces safety and security
• identify and investigate suspicious behavior, threats, and irregular activity
• monitor and control the entrance and departure of employees and visitors according to prescribed protocol
• detect and confront unauthorized persons and violators of security procedures
• enforce relevant laws and regulations about all individuals on the property
• monitor and prevent movement of prohibited items into and out of property
• conduct exterior property checks for maintenance issues, malfunctions, or hazards
• contact relevant authorities to deal with unlawful or irregular activities
• prepare written reports of daily activities, observations, and incidents

Required Qualifications

• Grade 10 Complete and above and willing to work according to the organization rule and regulations. 5 years of experience and task-related skills in the respective job positions or assignments
