ICT Intern

ILRI is seeking motivated and qualified undergraduate students to join its Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Unit in Addis Ababa. The internship provides hands-on experience in ICT support services, technical systems management, and digital operations within an international research organization.

The intern will support the ICT service desk and gain exposure to different ICT functions including hardware support, software installation, cybersecurity, networking, and business systems.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program.
• Must study Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Strong written and spoken English skills are required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage ICT service desk tickets and respond to user requests.
• Provide basic ICT support to staff and system users.
• Perform routine diagnostics on ICT systems and equipment.
• Assist in setting up physical and virtual meetings.
• Clean and update records in ICT systems and databases.
• Test software applications and technical tools.
• Install software and hardware on user devices.
• Deliver ICT equipment and resources to staff members as required.
• Support additional ICT-related tasks assigned by supervisors.
