Job Description


Online Translator

The Online Translator engages in individual-level contractual service agreements to provide translation services for children’s letters from Amharic and/or Afaan Oromo local languages into English through the Letter Translation Exchange (LTE) website. Translators use their own computers and internet services to complete virtual translation assignments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate children's letters from Amharic and/or Afaan Oromo into English via the Letter Translation Exchange (LTE) website.
  • Complete translation assignments independently using personal computers and internet services.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Educational Background: BA degree in English, Communication, Journalism, or related fields.
  • Work Experience: Experience in a related field is preferred, alongside fluency in local languages and English.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Fluency in Amharic and/or Afaan Oromo and English.
  • Core skills in translation.
