Job Summary

The Senior Supply Chain Officer is responsible for supporting procurement, logistics, inventory management, and coordination of supply chain activities to ensure efficient, compliant, and timely operations.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

• Support procurement planning and execution in line with approved policies and procedures.
• Coordinate sourcing of raw materials, packaging materials, and operational supplies.
• Manage supplier communications, quotations, purchase orders, and related documentation.
• Support contract follow-up and supplier performance evaluation.

Logistics & Distribution

• Track deliveries and logistics movements to ensure timely availability of materials.
• Coordinate transportation and delivery activities with suppliers, freight forwarders, and receiving locations.
• Monitor shipment schedules and communicate delivery timelines with relevant stakeholders.

Import & Export Operations

• Manage all import and export activities in compliance with national regulations and organizational policies.
• Prepare and facilitate all import and export documentation and permits.
• Coordinate customs clearance with government authorities, customs agents, and freight forwarders.
• Liaise with banks, shipping lines, and regulatory agencies for trade documentation.
• Track shipments and prepare periodic import/export performance and cost reports.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

• Monitor inventory levels to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Support warehouse operations, stock reconciliation, and inventory control.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock variance reduction.

Supply Chain Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate supply chain records, reports, and filing systems.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, food safety, and quality requirements.
• Assist during audits, inspections, and management reviews related to supply chain activities.
• Coordinate with the Finance team for payment processing and documentation.

Food Safety & Compliance Responsibilities

• Ensure all sourced materials comply with food safety and quality standards.
• Maintain traceability records for raw materials and suppliers.
• Support implementation of FSSC, HACCP, and internal food safety controls.
• Participate in internal and external audits related to supply chain activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
• Good understanding of procurement, logistics, and inventory management processes.
• Experience in manufacturing or food processing environments is an added advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel; ERP experience is an asset.
