Job Description


The Supply Chain and Operations leadership role provides strategic direction and oversight to support functions at the field program office level—including Supply Chain, Information Technology, Logistics, Administration, and Construction Contract Administration. The position ensures that these critical operational systems align with organizational policies, WVI's Christian values, and program goals to deliver cost-effective, timely, and professional support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership: Serve as a strategic partner to the leadership team by integrating support functions into the program hub’s operational strategy, managing budgets, and promoting organizational values.
  • Technical Sourcing & Procurement: Oversee source-to-pay (S2P) processes, manage consolidated annual procurement plans, execute sourcing strategies, conduct market assessments, and lead negotiations for high-spend categories.
  • Operations & Compliance Management: Supervise supply chain, logistics, IT, administration, and contract management teams, ensuring adherence to global policies, audit recommendations, and risk mitigation protocols.
  • Client Satisfaction & Coordination: Monitor service delivery to ensure optimum client satisfaction, collaborate closely with operation managers to troubleshoot bottlenecks, and implement necessary organizational changes.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Education: BA or MA Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics Management, Finance, or a related field (advanced CIPS professional qualification is highly advantageous).
  • Experience: Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience for BA holders, or 5 years for MA holders, in supply chain management and contracts administration, including at least 2 to 3 years in people management.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Substantial technical knowledge of supply chain operations, ERP databases, and local legislative frameworks.
  • Strong relationship-building, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and digital management systems, coupled with domestic travel flexibility (approx. 30%).
