Job Description


The Light Vehicle Driver is responsible for safely operating organizational vehicles to transport staff and materials across project operational areas. The role ensures strict adherence to traffic regulations, proper vehicle maintenance, accurate logbook and fuel record-keeping, and professional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safe Operation: Safely operate organization light vehicles for official project duties only.
  • Traffic Compliance: Strictly follow all local traffic rules and safety regulations while transporting personnel and cargo.
  • Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection: Conduct daily pre-trip vehicle inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness and roadworthiness, and promptly report any mechanical incidents or maintenance needs.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate, up-to-date logbooks for trips, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Professional Service: Provide courteous, professional, and respectful transportation services to staff and visitors.

Educational Qualification & Experience Requirements

  • Education: 10th Grade complete with a valid 3rd Grade driving license (training in Auto Mechanics is an added advantage).
  • Experience: Minimum of 4 years and above of professional driving experience.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Defensive driving skills and strong knowledge of local road networks and safety standards.
  • Good communication and interpersonal abilities.
