We have established a toll free phone line for psychological first aid. People can call and get help for free using a local language. We also are establishing Trauma Informed Care in schools and health care workers. We are doing community mental health projects in Districts in Tigray. We are also engaged in a project to capacitate local journalists, so that they always take the concerns of mental health in their programs, produce media that can help and teach people. All these activities we are engaged is because of the situation here. We have only 4 psychiatrists and 5 clinical psychologists in the whole region of 8 mil people. Innovative mental health interventions are the only way out to address the gap.
